You may have an important career decision to make, a desire for more meaning in your work life, or are trying to understand what is impeding you from finding success and satisfaction in your career.  You may be satisfied in their current career, but are looking for ways to continually improve and advance.  You may be exploring new opportunities or seeking balance in your life.  You needn't face these challenges alone. 

Career coaching is one avenue towards exploring these issues

Clarifying career goals, identifying opportunities and obstacles, and developing plans to take intelligent action towards change are all part of the career coachng process.  While it is not

possible to guarantee you’ll get what you want, we actively work together towards achieving

How does career coaching work?

You are unique and our coaching relationship and process will reflect your individuality.  Therefore, every step in this process may not be applicable to you.  In general, however, the process of career coaching can be described in the following steps:

• Initial Assessment and Goal Setting. We will gather and reflect on your professional and personal information, define what you’d like to accomplish, and agree upon a feasible career coaching goal.
• Professional Assessment . We will explore your values, interests, strengths and experience.  We will investigate behavioral, emotional, cognitive and external factors with regard to your career goals.
• Generating and investigating alternatives.  Using the information we’ve already acquired, we will generate a list of possible actions towards achieving your career goals.  Together, we will identify the sources of information about each alternative in order to narrow the choices.
• Choosing an Option.  At this stage, you will decide on which alternative makes the most sense for you and your goals. 
• Planning and Implementation.  We will work together on a plan toward achieving your goal and identify contingencies in case of setbacks.  You will take the necessary actions to implement your plan and together we will monitor your progress and work on obstacles you may encounter.
• Ongoing Career Coaching.  Once you've achieved, or are well on your way towards, your goal we can help you maintain the balance and success so critical to today's career.
